Nimbin is a community with a history focussed on defending, protecting, preserving and enhancing the environment in a sustainable manner for the benefit of future generations. We are a resilient community that possesses extraordinary community capital.
To capture this energy, solid community partnerships have been forged to deliver a Sustainable Nimbin Community Plan. The Plan, first produced in 2009, was extensively reviewed in 2016. That Plan is currently due for review, a process that will take place once we emerge from Covid-19 restrictions and the necessary funding is sourced. While some actions in the Plan are attributed to NCCI, it is Nimbin Neighbourhood & Information Centre that has carriage of the Plan.
We acknowledge the Widjabul people of the Bundjalung Nation as the traditional custodians of this land on which we live and work.
