It was an inspiring night recently when the Australian Olympic Committee announced a strong 35-person Australian Olympic Swimming Team to compete at the Tokyo Olympic Games. It also showed the power of determination, persistence, hard work and resilience from several of the athletes who have participated at multiple Olympic Games such as Emily Seebohm and Cate Campbell. Lawn Bowls is one of those precision sports, a bit like golf, where a day can go peachy or a little over the trees! It seems simple in theory with the aim to roll the bowl closest to the ‘jack or kitty’ but it is more challenging that it seems. Lismore District Netball Association have introduced a Mixed Netball event for male and female players 30 years and over to enter. For the event to proceed, we need at least 4-6 teams to register.
