Come along and experience some Japanese culture.
History was made in Lismore, New South Wales, on Wednesday 7th August,1963, when the first Sister City Agreement between Australia and Japan was signed. On that day, two men, each representing the Citizens of his City, took the first step towards healing the wounds caused by a savage and bloody war between their respective Nations.
We celebrate 50 years of our Sister City Agreement with a visit of officials and residents of Yamato Takada, Japan to Lismore. Locals primary schools and community groups have been invited to attend. Tea and coffee provided.
